Overall i thought that hidden was boring . I understand that the director (Haneke) was trying to push the boundries of film convention through his use of long static shots and lack of sound in order to create suspense but i think it did not work at all. The story was the best part but it progressed fairly slowly and i only watched a small part of the film so i was not hooked and did not really care about who this mystirous cameraman was and who the child in the window was. Also the director showed the audience scenes that did not advance the plot or develop characters, an example of this is when the audience is forced to watch the pierrot at a swimming class
However if i were to watch whole film my opinon of the film may change, but that is not very likely.
It's possible that you'd change your mind. There is a very shocking moment in the film that does change the way we see what's happening.
